Known to many as the squash dad, traveler and ambassador of diverse cultures.James studied at Howard University and pursued graduate studies in media and communications at Northwestern and the University of Iowa. His passion led to the launch of a publication covering youth and poverty issues for Youth Communication and the RFK Memorial. James has led several organizations strategically-guiding the development of youth oriented media channels from audiobooks, to print and digital publications. All of his action and passions seem to continuously lead him to an appreciation for the game of squash.
James is a founding/current board member and past Board Chair of Chicago’s MetroSquash as well as founder and Board Chair of Arizona Squash. His drive for impact in the communities of people of color has never waned and now he is stringing a thread of meaning to use squash as that vehicle that renews a sense of identity in the BIPOC community.
